eFaktúra will not load on your company network?

If fa.efaktura.sk will not open on the office Wi‑Fi (the browser says the site cannot be reached), the access is almost always blocked by a company firewall, a DNS filter or the router. Here is how to find out which — and how to unblock it — in a few minutes.

1

Step 1 — test it over mobile data

Open fa.efaktura.sk on your phone over mobile data (turn Wi‑Fi off). If the site works on mobile data, our servers are running and the problem is inside your network — carry on with step 2. If it does not work on mobile data either, write to us at .

2

Step 2 — find out what is blocking it (one minute)

Open a command line — Windows: press Win+R, type cmd and hit Enter. Mac: open the Terminal app. Run both commands in turn:

nslookup fa.efaktura.sk
nslookup fa.efaktura.sk 1.1.1.1

Compare the addresses in the answers:

Solution A

The two commands return different addresses

The second command returns addresses in the 216.150.x.x range but the first returns something else — your router or the company DNS server is handing back a bogus address. Go to solution A.

Solution B

Both addresses are right, the site still will not open

Both answers return 216.150.x.x but the browser times out — the company firewall is blocking the connection itself. Go to solution B.

Solution B

The first command fails or you see a block page

A DNS filter is blocking the domain by category. Go to solution B — your IT department will add the domain to the exceptions.

3

Solution A — the router returns a bogus address

An immediate fix on your computer: set your DNS servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Windows: Settings → Network & internet → the properties of your connection → DNS server assignment → Edit → Manual. Mac: System Settings → Wi‑Fi → Details → DNS. The site will open straight away.

Important:bogus DNS answers from a router are usually a sign that the router has been tampered with. It may then redirect other sites as well, internet banking included. Ask your IT administrator or your internet provider to check the router’s DNS settings, update its firmware, restore the factory settings, change the administrator password and set DNS to 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8.

Solution B — the firewall blocks the domain: text for your IT department

Send this request to your IT department (or to your firewall vendor) — just copy it:

Please allow the domain efaktura.sk in the firewall / web filter,
including all subdomains (*.efaktura.sk — above all fa.efaktura.sk,
api.efaktura.sk, www.efaktura.sk and edoklad.efaktura.sk, formerly
ekancelaria.efaktura.sk), on ports 80 and 443.

Please allow it BY DOMAIN, not by IP address — the service runs on cloud
infrastructure with changing IP addresses.

This is eFaktura, a Slovak invoicing application (eFaktura s. r. o.,
Company ID (IČO) 57465738, https://efaktura.sk).

Tips by firewall vendor

  • ESET PROTECT / Endpoint

Settings → Protections → Web access protection → URL list management → Address list → "List of addresses excluded from content scan" → add *.efaktura.sk. Report the miscategorisation to ESET at int.form.eset.com/miscat.

  • FortiGate

DNS filter / Web filter → Local domain filter (or URL filter) → allow *.efaktura.sk. To have the domain recategorised: fortiguard.com/faq/wfratingsubmit.

  • Cisco Umbrella

Add efaktura.sk to the Allow list. Careful: the "Newly Seen Domains" category combined with the Intelligent Proxy causes silent timeouts with no block page.

  • Palo Alto, Check Point, Sophos, Mikrotik and others

Create a domain allowlist entry for *.efaktura.sk (ports 80 and 443). Always by domain, never by IP.

Nothing helped?

Write to us at — attach the output of both commands from step 2 and the name of your internet provider or firewall. We will sort it out together with your IT team.
